Making homemade treats for your family pet is a fun project for your whole family to participate can improvise any way that you like, with all kinds of natural ingredients, shapes and sizes -- just remember -- no sugar or salt should be added!! This is my dogs favorite treat -- inspired by the Pizza Contest...I hope your pet enjoys it as much as mine did! It was a special treat for her to get to eat right off the table and not get into trouble!!

13/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup yellow corn meal (can also use corn muffin mix)
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup frozen spinach (thawed, and squeezed dry of liquid)
1 cup cheese + more for topping (any kind you have - I used cheddar) 1/2 tsp garlic powder (not garlic salt) 2 "beggin strips" dog treats - chopped up for the "topping" (you can use any sort of regular dog treat)

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
Combine all on a bowl and stir together w/ a wooden spoon or w/ a hand
or stand mixer. Place parchment paper or non stick aluminum foil on a
cookie sheet -- spread out dough w/ fingers into a pizza shape, using more flour dusted on top of dough to keep your hands from sticking.
Sprinkle chopped up dog treats on top.
Bake for 30 minutes. Sprinkle extra cheese on top - and return to
oven and bake for 10-15 minutes more to melt the cheese.
Cool and cut into "slices" or squares. Store in an airtight container - preferably in the refrigerator as these contain no preservatives. They can store refrigerated a week or a week and a half.
